Turkey Hunting Experience: 10 Years
About: I live in Clinton, MI with my wife of 18 years and my 7 year old daughter. I've been a firefighter for 8 years, operate a Fire/EMS instruction business on the side and also teach Hunter Safety during the summer. This will be my tenth year teaching the Hunter Safety class and I take great pride in seeing former students suceed in the field. My number one hunting passion is chasing longbeards weather it be with gun, binoculars or camera. During the fall, I enjoy pursuing whitetails and making trips out west to hunt elk and mule deer. I truly enjoy taking my daughter turkey hunting and to other hunting related events such as the NWTF Convention that we attended in February and we had a blast. I've recently begun guiding and taking others out turkey hunting and found this to be an activity that I truly enjoy. This past spring, I was fortunate enough to help three new turkey hunters down their first longbeards. I'm looking forward to this fall when I can hopefully continue that success with some more hunters.
Occupation: Firefighter/EMT & Owner of an EMS/Fire Instruction business

Advice For Novice Hunters: "I believe you have two choices when starting out: Find a mentor to learn from and spend as much time with them garnering as much knowledge as possible. Learn from their mistakes as well as their successes. Or, get out in the woods and let the birds educate you the hard way and make your own path. Either one has great satisfaction and their own rewards."
