2009 Hunter Bio
Name: David Culp
Location: Fort Lawn, SC
Turkey Hunting Experience: 20 Years
About: David grew up on his family farm raising cattle in the piedmont of South Carolina.
Farm life gave David the advantage of learning all the local wildlife's patterns and habits
which helped during his hunts each day. David says those skills helped him bag his first
deer, a 190 lb. 8 point buck and a very nice deer by Carolina standards. Since then, David has
harvested many more good deer as well as numerous turkeys from his farm. David notes that
if you spend enough time studying the habits of game animals on public or private land,
it will make you a much more successful hunter.
Occupation: Farmer
Advice For Novice Hunters: "You won't kill anything in the bed. You have to get out
there to be successful. Just wait when your heart feels like it's about to jump from your chest on your first kill and you'll be hooked."
