2009 Hunter Bio
Name: Tom Dunn
Location: Roseville, MN
Turkey Hunting Experience: 22 Years
About: Tom is an avid hunter who says that when he’s not hunting, he’s usually
thinking about it or some of his past hunts. He has a yellow lab that’s in his 11th
year of hunting. His lab retrieved his first grouse at 9 months of age and, as Tom
puts it, “now knows all the tricks”. Tom works as an Architectural Field Inspector
which requires him to travel to job sites around Minnesota, the Dakotas and Wyoming
making sure the contractors are doing each job properly. When he’s not working, he’s
either hunting, gardening or with his girlfriend at their cabin in western Wisconsin.
Occupation: Architectural Field Inspector
Advice For Novice Hunters: "Practice shooting right and left handed. Turkeys will sometimes approach from
the direction you least expect"
Organizations: NWTF, NRA, National Muzzleloading Rifle Association, Waterfowl USA,
Delta Waterfowl, and The Ruffed Grouse Society.
